Sales Director

About the role

The Sales Director will design and execute sales and business development strategies for all ATDG properties, aiming to grow sustainable, profitable revenue, diversify demand sources, and develop new markets and partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Develop annual sales strategies and property‑specific plans across market segments and sales channels.
• Translate approved budgets into monthly, quarterly and yearly targets for the sales team.
• Prepare periodic sales and revenue forecasts, identify variances and propose corrective actions.
• Coordinate with executive management and property leaders to align commercial strategy with operational capacity.
• Identify, contact and nurture long‑term relationships with tour operators, travel agencies, MICE partners and strategic clients.
• Negotiate commercial terms, rates, allotments and partnership agreements within authorized limits.
• Build and manage a measurable pipeline of opportunities, tracking conversion from contact to revenue.
• Expand into new markets, reduce reliance on limited client bases, and increase direct and corporate sales.
• Monitor partner production, booking rhythms, cancellations and profitability by segment.
• Recruit, train, guide and evaluate the sales team’s performance.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Tourism, Economics or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, business development or commercial management, preferably in hospitality or tourism.
• Proven track record of meeting targets, negotiating contracts and developing strategic partners.
• Strong knowledge of tourism markets, hotel segments, distribution channels and pricing dynamics.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Practical use of CRM systems for pipeline and contract management.
• Advanced Excel skills for reporting and analysis.
