PR & Communication Expert (Part‑time)

About the role

The PR & Communication Expert will strengthen the visibility, public image and communication of SOS Children’s Villages Albania. Working from the National Office in Tirana on a part‑time basis, the expert will design and implement national awareness campaigns, produce promotional materials and manage the organization’s communication channels.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement PR and communication activities aligned with the organization’s strategy.
• Create press releases, articles, stories and social‑media content.
• Manage and coordinate social‑media and digital communication platforms.
• Maintain professional relationships with media and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate visibility for events, campaigns and public activities.
• Support the design and rollout of awareness‑raising campaigns.
• Ensure consistent use of the SOS Children’s Villages brand and messaging.
• Monitor media coverage, analyse performance and prepare reports.
• Collaborate with project and office teams to highlight achievements and impact.
• Guarantee that all communications involving children comply with safeguarding and confidentiality requirements.

Required profile

• University degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in PR, communications, media relations or a related area.
• Proven experience in communication campaigns, content development and media relations.
• Experience organising events and producing visibility materials.
• Strong writing, editing, storytelling and networking abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently and collaborate with diverse teams.
• Excellent written and spoken Albanian and English.
• Good digital skills and familiarity with content‑creation tools.
• Driving licence and willingness to travel when required.
