Junior IT Support Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Junior IT Support Specialist to provide first‑line assistance for hardware, software and networking issues within our office environment. You will work closely with senior IT staff to ensure smooth onboarding, equipment maintenance and reliable connectivity for all users.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line support for workstations, laptops, printers and peripheral devices.
• Set up, image, update and troubleshoot Windows and macOS computers.
• Maintain device inventory, asset tags and manage onboarding/off‑boarding of employee equipment.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot wired and wireless network connections, including basic router and switch issues.
• Perform routine OS updates, antivirus checks, backups and document actions in the ticketing system.
• Assist with user account creation, password resets and Active Directory (or equivalent) permissions.
• Escalate complex hardware, network or security problems to senior IT personnel.
• Support office moves, workstation relocations and cabling re‑configurations.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience supporting a business environment.
• Hands‑on experience with Windows OS setup, imaging and desktop/laptop configuration.
• Basic troubleshooting skills for Windows and macOS workstations.
• Familiarity with Linux is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow escalation procedures.
