Backend Engineer (F/M/*)

About the role

Join amber, an AI‑based platform helping companies make internal knowledge accessible and improve workflows. As a Backend Engineer you will work on a growing AI platform, ensuring reliable, high‑performance services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimise scalable backend services for the AI‑powered platform.
• Integrate new data sources via APIs to enhance amberAI.
• Collaborate with AI, frontend and DevOps teams to deliver new features from idea to rollout.
• Contribute to the evolution of the microservice architecture and improve existing modules.
• Prioritise security, data protection and data quality in all code.

Required profile

• Experience building scalable microservices and working with REST APIs.
• Daily use of Python and familiarity with its ecosystem.
• Additional knowledge of C/C++; other languages such as Go, Rust or JavaScript are a plus.
• Understanding of modular software architecture, clean code and system design.
• Strong communication skills in English and a willingness to learn new technologies.
