Server Administrator – IT Infrastructure

About the role

Motrada Handels GmbH is seeking a motivated Server Administrator to join its IT department in Shkoder. You will be responsible for maintaining the reliability and security of the company’s server environment that supports international banking and automotive auction platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and related IT systems.
• Implement security policies and ensure system security.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and respond to IT inquiries.
• Keep documentation of the IT infrastructure up to date.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth IT operations.
• Drive quality improvements and process optimisation.
• Provide first‑level on‑site technical support to colleagues.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong command of English, both spoken and written.
• German language skills are a plus.
• Proficiency with Linux‑based operating systems (Debian, Ubuntu) and Windows Server.
• Good knowledge of server hardware, virtualization and cloud computing.
• Practical experience with Proxmox, Xen and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with open‑source technologies and server monitoring tools.
• Attention to detail, solid documentation habits and a solution‑oriented mindset.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.
