Junior Software Asset Management Analyst

About the role

Deloitte is looking for a motivated Junior Software Asset Management Analyst to join its Extended Enterprise team. You will support clients across Europe in managing software compliance, optimizing licensing costs, and collaborating with leading software publishers.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in Software Asset Management (SAM) projects for European clients.
• Collaborate with major software publishers such as Microsoft, Oracle, and IBM on compliance programs.
• Analyze software licenses versus actual deployment to define the Effective License Position (ELP).
• Support negotiations with publishers to optimise software license contracts.
• Assist in the implementation of SAM tools and processes.
• Work closely with Deloitte teams from Cyber, IT Advisory, Legal, and other domains.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent data analysis and processing skills.
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Motivation for continuous learning and self‑development.
• Fluent in English; German language skills are a significant advantage.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP and XLOOKUP functions.
• Basic knowledge of operating systems: Windows, Linux, macOS, AIX, Solaris.
