IT Solution Designer – In‑house Solution Architect

About the role

As an IT Solution Designer (Solution Architect) you will work across all layers of IT to design, analyse, plan and lead the implementation of sustainable and secure digital services. You will ensure new solutions fit Deloitte’s environment and comply with internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Design end‑to‑end architecture for digital services, covering hosting, network, user access, data retention and operational sustainability.
• Analyse design patterns, suppliers and products to meet functional and quality requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Create effort estimates and implementation plans aligned with project managers.
• Act as technical sub‑project lead, coordinating subject‑matter experts and operations teams.
• Document and present architectural views and solution designs according to best‑practice standards.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or completed vocational training.
• Several years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure, application management, databases, cloud, networking, security, IAM or monitoring.
• Proven ability to quickly learn new technologies and concepts.
• Experience presenting and communicating results to stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong ownership of priorities, work structure and task management.
• Fluent English; German is a valuable optional skill.
