Assistant Country Controller

About the role

Wolt is looking for an Assistant Country Controller to support its finance operations in Albania and Kosovo on a one‑year fixed‑term basis covering maternity leave. You will work closely with local operations teams and the central Finance team in Helsinki, ensuring compliance and accurate reporting for the region.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Country Controller with monthly reporting, annual financial statements, and statutory filings for Albania and Kosovo.
• Maintain fully reconciled financial positions and handle payment follow‑ups, debt reconciliations, and vendor communications.
• Lead local and global finance initiatives, implement financial processes, and ensure compliance with global policies.
• Manage relationships with local auditors, authorities, and internal teams.
• Collaborate with the Record‑to‑Report (R2R) team, including GL accountants, AP, and AR specialists, on daily tasks.
• Provide ad‑hoc assistance to the Country Controller as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience with local statutory accounting and financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of compliance requirements in Albania and Kosovo.
• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with auditors, authorities, and cross‑functional teams.
• Service‑first mindset with a focus on clear communication and timely execution.
