AI Engineer – Remote (LLM & RAG Focus)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced AI Engineer to join a fully remote project focused on building and deploying modern LLM‑based solutions. The role involves designing Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures and delivering production‑ready AI applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop AI‑powered solutions and LLM‑based applications with a strong emphasis on RAG architectures.
• Integrate large language models and generative AI components into scalable microservices.
• Build and maintain APIs, backend services, and SQL database integrations.
• Containerize applications using Docker and orchestrate deployments with Kubernetes.
• Work within Microsoft Azure environments, leveraging cloud services for AI workloads.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines, release management, and production support.
• Contribute to the performance, reliability, and scalability of AI solutions.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• Hands‑on experience with LLMs and Generative AI.
• Practical knowledge of Retrieval‑Augmented Generation, embeddings, and vector databases.
• Microservices development and API design.
• SQL and relational database expertise.
• Docker and Kubernetes containerization.
• Microsoft Azure cloud services.
• DevOps practices, CI/CD, and production deployments.
• Familiarity with Azure OpenAI / OpenAI APIs (nice to have).
• Experience with vector databases such as Azure AI Search, Pinecone, or Weaviate (nice to have).
