About the role

The Cost Engineer will be responsible for the continuous monitoring and control of project costs for Balfin Construction. Working closely with the Project Manager and Civil Engineer, you will prepare cost estimates, analyse prices, and support budgeting and cash‑flow reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Periodically track project costs, prepare cost estimates (preventives) and analyse price lists for relevant items.
• Prepare monthly cost situations, measurement books and price analyses, including subcontractor cost control.
• Draft cost situations for works executed by the company and produce monthly price analyses.
• Conduct monthly reconciliations with the Finance Department for inventories, warehouse status and material dispatches.
• Control estimates and prices of projects prepared by design studios.
• Monitor project cost during the construction phase in cooperation with the Project Manager and Civil Engineer.
• Prepare tender package estimates and review technical analyses and price manuals against market rates and official publications.
• Follow legislative updates affecting construction costs and tax control procedures.
• Monitor market prices offered by contractors and subcontractors, reporting findings to support negotiations.
• Assist in preparing monthly budgets, progress reports and cash‑flow statements.

Required profile

• University degree in Construction Engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Cost Engineer or Estimator in the construction sector.
