CBRN Specialist – Remote Contractor (Hourly)

About the role

We are looking for a CBRN Specialist to work remotely on an hourly contract basis. In this position you will act as a subject‑matter expert, reviewing AI‑generated content that touches on chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear safety topics and creating high‑quality reference material to guide safe, accurate model behavior.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate AI‑generated responses involving CBRN, hazardous‑material, emergency‑preparedness, and public‑safety subjects for technical accuracy and safety compliance.
• Identify and flag content that provides dangerous procedural detail, weaponization guidance, unsafe lab instructions, or other misuse‑enabling information.
• Develop gold‑standard reference examples that answer benign CBRN queries responsibly while avoiding operationally dangerous instructions.
• Rank model outputs based on risk framing, appropriate refusals, scientific correctness, and clarity.
• Detect hallucinated claims, incorrect hazard classifications, misleading risk statements, and overconfident conclusions.
• Provide clear written feedback explaining safety, completeness, and technical correctness of each piece of content.
• Escalate ambiguous or high‑risk cases for additional review according to project guidelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Biology, Radiological Science, Nuclear Engineering, or a related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in CBRN terminology, hazard classification, emergency preparedness, and public‑safety communication.
• Experience reviewing technical content for accuracy and safety, preferably in AI or data‑annotation contexts.

Required skills
