Migration Secretariat Support Consultant (3 positions)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking three Migration Secretariat Support Consultants to assist the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MoIA) in Albania. The consultants will work under the EU4Migration in Albania project, supporting the Technical Secretariat on Migration (TSM) in monitoring, coordinating and reporting on the implementation of the National Strategy on Migration (NSM) and its Action Plan.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare technical inputs and policy briefs related to migration governance and asylum procedures.
• Support MoIA in the monitoring and coordination of NSM and Action Plan activities.
• Collect, analyse and report data on migration trends and project outcomes.
• Facilitate communication between MoIA, IOM and other project stakeholders.
• Assist in the preparation of regular progress reports and documentation for EU and Albanian authorities.

Required profile

• Relevant academic background in migration studies, public administration, international relations or a related field.
• Experience working with government institutions or international organisations on migration or asylum issues.
• Strong analytical abilities and familiarity with EU migration frameworks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of Albanian is an advantage.
